My Bio
O Driscoll Imaging was founded in 2006, following a transatlantic move to Canada by photographer Christopher O Driscoll. Christopher worked for the print media in both Ireland and the UK during the 1990's in capacities both as a photographer and later as photo editor.
Christopher has been closely involved in photography since the late 1980's, seeing the transition from film to digital, and enjoys working with both mediums. A graduate of University College Cork, Ireland, Christopher graduated in both Applied Business and Media Studies. Since establishing his studio in Barrie, he now works as an exclusive commercial stock photographer for iStockphoto & Getty Images, as well as providing other photography related services.
In 2009, Christopher was instrumental in bringing Help Portrait to Barrie, a role which he still continues to lead. The project involves bringing the local professional community together, including photographers, hair salons, make up artists and many volunteers, with the single aim of providing people that ordinarily could not afford a professional portrait sitting, an opportunity to have a make over and professional portrait for free.
